posted in: Events | 0

From 2 to 4 November 2018 the Foundation for Access to Rights – FAR and the Hungarian Helsinki Committee held a training for Bulgarian lawyers on “Litigating Cases of Immigration Detention”. The training is part of the Red Line project, funded by the European Programme for Integration and Migration (EPIM). During the training the lawyers discussed the latest litigation issues in the field of administrative detention of asylum seekers and immigrants in Bulgaria, with a special focus on unaccompanied children.  They studied in detail the case law of the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union, as well as the practical aspects of initiating a case and litigating before these European courts. The infringement procedure before the European Commission was also presented.
